We have a rich history and have been providing residential aged care for more than 40 years.What we needA highly skilled and motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Finance and Administration Team Full Time based in our Hobart Corporate Office.What will you do?Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to:Undertake the accurate, efficient and effective processing of data in the relevant systemsAccurate and timely preparation of monthly financial reporting through the preparation of journals and reconciliationsCompletion of end of financial year tasks required to assist in the accurate and timely reporting of the financial statementsProvide the Home Care team with financial support to ensure reporting and compliance requirements are metComplete financial analysis and respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholdersPosting of journal entries in to the accounting systemUndertake the processing and completion of Bank ReconciliationsProvide a high level of customer service when assisting external stakeholders, management and staff with enquires and requestsProactively complete debtor maintenance and related administrative tasksEnsuring Balance Sheet reconciliations and other reconciliations are completedProcesses and controls are documented and maintained at best practice, where required recommend and implement required process improvementsAssist the Financial Controller and Senior Accountant with system and process related projects and continuous improvementsLeave coverage for other essential roles within the Finance TeamOther ad hoc duties as directed by the Chief Financial Officer, Financial Controller and Senior Accountant  What you bring to the roleBachelor of Business majoring in accounting/finance (completed or in final year of study)Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in accountingStrong data analysis skillsWell-developed organisational skills, including the ability to effectively manage competing priorities, show initiative and problem solve and work effectively in a team environment.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a knowledge and understanding of good service practices, including the ability to treat all stakeholders politely and with respect while providing prompt and flexible service.What you get in return At OneCare, we care deeply about our residents, our staff and the jobs we do each day. What we need

A highly skilled and motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Finance and Administration Team Full Time based in our Hobart Corporate Office.

What will you do?

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Undertake the accurate, efficient and effective processing of data in the relevant systems
  • Accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial reporting through the preparation of journals and reconciliations
  • Completion of end of financial year tasks required to assist in the accurate and timely reporting of the financial statements
  • Provide the Home Care team with financial support to ensure reporting and compliance requirements are met
  • Complete financial analysis and respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Posting of journal entries in to the accounting system
  • Undertake the processing and completion of Bank Reconciliations
  • Provide a high level of customer service when assisting external stakeholders, management and staff with enquires and requests
  • Proactively complete debtor maintenance and related administrative tasks
  • Ensuring Balance Sheet reconciliations and other reconciliations are completed
  • Processes and controls are documented and maintained at best practice, where required recommend and implement required process improvements
  • Assist the Financial Controller and Senior Accountant with system and process related projects and continuous improvements
  • Leave coverage for other essential roles within the Finance Team
  • Other ad hoc duties as directed by the Chief Financial Officer, Financial Controller and Senior Accountant

  What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor of Business majoring in accounting/finance (completed or in final year of study)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in accounting
